One of the attractions of owning a plasma television set is the ability to hang it on a wall. Due to its slim, shallow design it can also be built into a wall with a plasma TV mount to help free floor space and to inhibit blocked viewing of the programs. Most manufacturers include stands to hold the televisions upright on a flat surface and sell a plasma TV mount separately as an option. There are a few drawbacks to mounting the television on the wall however, and some folks choose not to use them.
